Book Adriana G

Adriana is an actor/producer who was born to Mexican parents in Brownsville,Texas. As a result, her childhood consisted of traveling between Mexico and the United States, making her fluent in both languages. Her career choice was influenced by her uncle, Mexican poet Enrique Cortazar, her aunt, actress Carolina Cortazar, and most of all her ballerina mother Mercedes Cortazar, who put Adriana in dance classes at the age of three. Adriana went on to study Fine Arts at Televisa in Mexico City and The American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Hollywood.

As an actor, Adriana has appeared in several commercials for Dodge, Bank of America, Burger King, and Reddi Whip, to name a few. In 2009, she appeared in a commercial for Unicef’s Tap Project. This prompted her to become a volunteer with the 2010 Tap Project and produce the Los Angeles fundraiser for Unicef’s Tap Project World Water Week. She is passionate about the cause because it provides children in underdeveloped countries their basic human right to clean water. Her Unicef commercial, Desperate, went on to win eight awards in 2009 and 2010. In 2009 it was one of ten finalists at the Cannes Lions Awards from over 4,000 international entries. She has also appeared as the lead character, Athena, in "The Experimental Witch," as well as produced the film, which won Paulo Coelho's International Film Competition and was based on his novel "The Witch of Portobello." The film premiered at the International Rome Film Festival on October 20, 2009. In May of 2010, Adriana was awarded the President’s Volunteer Service Award for her commitment to community service. She is currently in post production for her documentary, "And She Danced, Life After Loss," featuring her friend, professional skateboarder PRod, with music by Jason Mraz and the Makepeace Brothers.

In 2012, Adriana returned to her roots and relocated to Austin after sixteen years in Los Angeles--a move she considers one of the best decisions she's ever made. Adriana is available for film and commercial broadcast projects.
